Updates

I’ve not written in a while. We’re all working on various projects and I had to get through a big adventure and a major relocation. I’ve moved out of Kirkland, Washington to a small town outside of Springfield, MO where I will continue to work full time and then some. I have no plans to slow down. The reason for the move were several factors. For one, I wanted to be closer to family. I wanted to live in a rural setting, and I was looking for that perfect spot. I think I found it. I’m bought the house designed and built by world-class architect Tom Jowett who designed Big Cedar Lodge and most Bass Pro Shops. His trademark look is that lodge design and feel and this home is no different. I’ve named it “Moose Lodge” after my last dog and this is where I plan to do my best work. It’s centrally located for clients, making it easier to for me to get to all parts of the US.

I’ve not been posting as much because I took on the role of President of Infrrd’s Professional Services business. It’s a big, complex undertaking and someday I hope to write about the experience. There is a lot to learn from this who process of running something remotely when you have so many data points to sort out and organize into a core understanding of the business. It’s a big task.

Meanwhile all of us are deployed on big projects so we’re not as active on this site. We will resume our Saturday morning calls in the coming weeks. We have a location, but need to complete our studio setup and we’ll be ready to resume our schedule. We miss all the entrepreneurs who join us every Saturday morning and we have a lot of information to share. Getting here has been a wild ride and I should write more about that experience. I’ll do that as I have time.
